AEACP
Hello to everyone...I would like to let you all know about a really great project we are doing right now. It will benefit the endangered Asian Elephants. It centers on the work that the Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project (AEACP) is doing. The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding people in need and to saving the diminishing number of Asian elephants left on our planet through its work with domesticated elephants. The AEACP raises funds through the sale of artwork created by elephants in order to generate money and create awareness for the people.

We recently prepared one of our guitars for a trip to Thailand. Our friend and event coordinator, Mychelle Vollrath, has ventured there to meet with the conceptual artists who started the project. Mychelle will actually work with the Elephants and their trainers and oversee the painting of a DeTemple Guitars Spirit Series '56 Guitar. We have prepared one of our guitars with an Opaque Titanium White Finish. The white finish presents an open canvas for the Elephant's artistic touch. There will also be a matching painting done at the same time so the guitar and the painting will be presented as a set at the auction to be held in September 2008 at the Spring Fashion Show in New York City.

You can see more about the artwork the Elephants are doing and upcoming auction news at this website: http://www.elephantart.com.

Also be sure to visit our site for more information about handmade custom electric guitars, handmade electric pickups, and Titanium guitar parts at DeTemple Guitars - http://www.detempleguitars.com...

Michael
