Sonic Blue ’52- SOLD!!!
Weighing in at just 7.2 lbs, this guitar has a really beautiful flamed maple neck. The neck radius is 9.5 inches and has medium tall fretwire. We have installed our Titanium Truss Rod as well as Titanium Saddles, Titanium String Ferrules and Titanium Neck Plate. It also comes with Special Open Back Tuners. The guitar was ordered with 2 pickguards. Pictured is the Parchment White Guard and it also has our beautiful Blue Abalone Celluloid pickguard. Either one or both pickguards are available. As always, the appointments on the guitar are made of 30,000 year old Fossilized Mastodon Ivory. Custom DeTemple Guitars Brown Alligator case included.
The Extreme Featherweight Twin Set ’52 and ’56-
Painted in our very popular Butterscotch Blonde, both guitars include our special Italian Celluloid Tortoise Shell pickguards and 30,000 year old Mastodon Ivory appointments. Custom DeTemple Guitars Brown Alligator case included.
The ’52 Twin is fitted with Titanium Saddles and Titanium String Ferrules, as well as the Titanium Neck Plate. Special Open Back Tuners make tuning as smooth as silk. The fingerboard radius is 9.5 inches and it has medium tall fretwire. This EXTREME featherweight guitar weighs only 6.8 lbs!
The ’56 Twin includes DeTemple Titanium Trem Assembly, Titanium Neck Plate, and Special Open Back Tuners. The fingerboard radius is also 9.5 inches and the fretwire is medium tall. The weight of the ’56 is just 6.6 lbs! Both of these guitars are Extreme Featherweights!

-We recently delivered a beautiful Twin Set of DeTemple Spirit Series ’52 and ’56 guitars to Kirk Hammett of Metallica.
Both guitars featured Matched Featherweight Swamp Ash Bodies, Book matched maple necks, 100 year old book matched Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboards, Fossilized Mastodon nuts, Mastodon Switch Tips, Mastodon String Trees, Titanium Neck Plates, Custom Italian Celluloid Tortoise Shell pickguards, Special Open Back Tuners, DeTemple SweetSpot Pickups and Custom Black Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish.

Made in 2005, this is a Standard DTG '52 with Italian Celluloid Tortoise Shell Pick Guard, Titanium Compensated Saddles, Titanium Ferrules, and DTG Custom Case. It also has Fossilized Mastodon String Tree, Switch Tip, and Nut.
This guitar is in almost new condition and is a very fine instrument.

Would you be interested in a very custom configured Tele? It has a highly figured Flame maple neck with African Blackwood fingerboard, Featherweight Body and custom routing for the convertible feature of Phoenix pickup or Standard pickup in the neck position.
It is said that “African Blackwood is to Brazilian Rosewood as Brazilian Rosewood is to Indian Rosewood”.
The Phoenix pickup is my take on a Firebird Humbucker made with alnico 2 magnets. The convertible feature allows you to change from the Phoenix neck pickup to our Standard Tele neck pickup in about 15 minutes with no soldering involved. The body is Blonde and the two pickguards are Italian Celluloid for the Phoenix and Black Lacquered Phenolic for the Standard Tele neck pup. The blonde finish could be turned into our Custom mid 50s finish if so desired. This guitar was being made for a very visible and well known artist but the economy has made it impossible for him to finish the project. This guitar will be completed in about 6 months. This is an opportunity to own one of our guitars in a very short period of time. Some of the options are still open to your choices.

Rare One of a Kind Left Handed DeTemple ’52 (Tele Style) Guitar. We made this for Elliot Easton of the Cars. This guitar is the only left handed DeTemple in existence and it is the lightest guitar we have ever built. It weighs just under 6.5 lbs. It has all of our DeTemple Titanium Parts, including Titanium Saddles, Titanium Ferrules, and Titanium Neck Plate. We made this guitar with the upgraded Red Maple Neck and Custom Mid 50’s finish. It also has our Special Open Back Tuners. This guitar is really a special instrument and it is being offered direct from DeTemple Guitars. You can be the owner of the only “Lefty” DeTemple ever made.
